losing ground and quinn boss

i was in new jersey all last week working on school assignments and various other projects, and i also had a chance to meet up with a band from my area that was on its way to success back in 2004, but things got kind of hectic and they had to call it quits.  well they are getting back together now and they called on me to do the pics for their press kit and whatever.  the shoot was awesome, despite it being early february, the weather was gorgeous.  it was a bit too windy for my liking, but that just means skip the softbox.

they also brought in quinn boss, an amazing country singer to do some vocals throughout the recordings.  she actually picked to shoot here with the broken glass.  it looks amazing; good call quinn!

so i’m sorry if this offends anyone, sort of, but i just want to take 2 minutes to whine and complain.

i hate hdr haha.  i mean seriously?  this stuff is supposed to look natural? i’m not sure what you’re doctor prescribed you, but this doesn’t look natural to me.

i understand the theory behind it, but it’s kind of like when you were a kid using a trash bag as a parachute.  yes, it sounds like a trash bag could slow you down, but instead you break your arm falling out of a tree…

“i think we’re in connecticut?”

yesterday lee charm and his crew came up from nyc to shoot with me at hallmark.  we were scheduled to start shooting around 11pm, but they had new york city navigation, which means they got here around 1230.  no worries, they can get lost any time that they want, as long as they have funny stories to talk about afterwards.

so anyways, we started the shoot off with a smooth low-key look, then moved into a more editorial style.  the whole shoot lasted about 5 hours, and we had a lot of fun the entire time.
